Abigail Pratt

Abigail (she/they) is a 2026 graduate of Johnson County Community College's Apparel Merchandising and Design (AAS) program. While enrolled, they earned 1st place in Spring 2024's draping class design challenge, sponsored by Cottonworks Inc.

They have a 10-year history in custom design and sewing through personal projects and freelance commission work, as well as 3 years of technical design and patternmaking experience.

Abigail enjoys incorporating whimsical, botanical, and fantasy theming into their original designs, while also sticking to modern fashion trends and functional design.

When she isn't in the studio, Abigail enjoys drawing, spending time with her pet cats, playing video games, and designing new looks.

Timeless Blooms

Timeless Blooms is the dress that won a draping design award. It was part of a class project sponsored by Cottonworks Inc and designed, draped, patterned, and sewn by Abigail.

Wildewood

Wildewood is Abigail's capstone fashion design collection. Each piece was conceptualized, drafted, prototyped, sewn, and fitted by them. Wildewood is made up of 14 individual pieces spanning 6 full looks.

Butterfly Jacket

The butterfly jacket was a final project in an advanced patternmaking course, and was created as a personal challenge to do a custom lapel shape on a tailored jacket.
